Dress for the job you want...

not the job you have. I'm such a believer in this good old quote. When you look your best you feel your best. In today's working world there is A LOT of room for creativity and creative interpretations of dress codes at the office. And, in many offices a dress code no longer exists. So we have to apply our own codes. As for me, of course I love a great pair of jeans, but no matter the official code where I work, I have always felt that I present my best self, do my best work, accomplish the most, communicate better and feel the best when I look my best. One of my favorite looks this year is above. Mixing grays with blush pinks and neutrals is professional and strong, but transitions perfectly to a softer spring. Add a man's watch and a vintage briefcase for chic touches that add personal style.

Kudos once again to Theory for excellence in professional style (for both men and women), and constantly moving with trends, yet remaining classic. What designers do you to turn for a new suit? A new dress for the board meeting? Or your favorite polished look?

Blushing Beauties

Went shopping today at lunch and felt compelled to put together a set dedicated to blush. There are some really gorgeous pieces available in this subtle color right now. Some of my favorite's are included here. Just mixing with a little nude/cream = perfection.

From Winter to Spring...

From Winter to Spring...
From Winter to Spring... by Stephielynne featuring a racerback tank

I love Spring. Green grass, flowers blooming, my birthday:) But sometimes the transition from Winter to Spring is kind of tough as far as fashion goes. I like to slowly make my way into more color and mix and match more wintry, heavier pieces with lighter warmer weather textures. Some of my favorite transition pieces are Proenza Schouler's long sleeve tees (always a good idea) and Acne's season-less basics. And a favorite color story, for these months especially, is black + white + a pop of either red or coral (or a mix of both). Throw in a little nautical navy (navy and black are so chic together) with a blazer and/or bag and it's a perfect entrée to Spring. Looking forward to those lilacs, aren't you? xoxo

Nicholas Kool

I am in love with this collection. The 90s aesthetic mixed with the luxurious yet relaxed textures truly make it a dream come true. With so many pieces to choose from it's so difficult to create just one ultimate look. Here, I created two looks that revolve around one piece from the same fabric - the impeccable tartan. When you wear these model off duty clothes you feel like the coolest girl in the world - and you are.
